ND fashion designer to present ‘Honoring the Sacred Circle’ in Calif. theater | News, Sports, Jobs

Native fashion designerDarlene Perkins, Bismarck and her business, Red Lightning Couture will present an event to raise awareness about climate change, missing and killed indigenous peoples, and residential school children at Roxy Theater in West Hollywood, California on November 27.

Perkins claims that “Honoring the Sacred Circle,”Will be “an evening of indigenous solidarity and resilience through wisdom, music and fashion.”

Red Lightning Couture and Perkins partnered with Leander McDonald, president, United Tribes Technical College and UTTC in Bismarck. This September, Perkins and Red Lightning Couture presented a similar event. “Honoring the Sacred Circle”UTTC.
