Megan Thee Stallion (Grammy-winner) is donating to historically Black colleges. Fashion Nova and the future Texas Southern University grad have partnered to donate $25,000 for Bennett College in North Carolina. The $25,000 grant will work help build the school’s Entrepreneurial Studies program.
“What a time to be a woman, specifically a Black woman,” Bennett College President Suzanne E. Walsh stated.
“I am truly appreciative that Bennett [College] was not only selected but pre-selected to receive and participate in Fashion Nova’s new philanthropic initiative, “Women On Top.” This donation coordinates perfectly with who we are and what we represent as a historical higher education institution for women.”
Fashion Nova has a larger program that includes this donation. Fashion Nova was aiming to donate $1,000,000 during March to women who are interested in education, entrepreneurship, community development, and other related activities. The program will also be used to support other HBCUs, such as Virginia State University, Norfolk State University and North Carolina A&T University.
