Joan Patricia Gregart
Some say you only live one time, but Joan lived every single day. Each 32,978 of them. Joan is the personality that lights up a room. To have known her was an honor. To love her was nothing short. She knew love like no one else.
Joan gave everything she had to the things she did. It didn’t matter if Joan was playing scrabble or an art project, decorating, decorating, making Halloween costumes, shopping for the perfect finds, or being ready for any family get-together, large or small. As a member on the grievance panel at Saint Timothy Church, The Villages, she truly expressed her compassion.
Charles (Chuck), her husband of 52 year, is now with her again. They were avid dog lovers and enjoyed their boat (Charlie’s Tuna), playing golf, and in retirement discovered a passion for traveling while enjoying the best of Florida, Tennessee, and Michigan. Her last three years were spent in Oakland Township’s Blossom Ridge Community.
Joan was a brilliant and creative thinker, always giving the best advice, never losing sight of the big picture, never lost heart, and had a fighting spirit that conquered any challenge she was faced with. When the doctor asked her what she could do for her, her wit and humor prevailed. “a manhattan”.
Joan’s greatest qualities are imbued on everyone she touched.
Joan was greeted in heaven by three great grandchildren: Olivia Grace, Logan Daniel, and Eloise Anne. Also, her parents Michael Gaston and Martha Gaston were there.
The same sentiment was repeated throughout our entire family during our last goodbyes. She was our best Grandma, Grandma, and GIGI. It will be difficult to live without her. Cheers to 90 amazing years.
