Final Fantasy 14patch 2.4After a 24-hour maintenance, Rise of a New Sun has been made available. (Yes, there may be a one-day extension to game time.)
The post-Stormblood main quest takes us back to Othard. Here we meet Asahi sas Brutus from the Garlean Imperial Army. Brutus’ introduction coincides with the arrival of the Four Lords, beings whose existence allegedly threatens the world itself. Byakko will be the first player to encounter at the Jade Stoa. Other quests include side stories, dungeons and raids. Fashion Report The quests for the Ananta new beast tribe and the Golden Saucer are available.
There are many ways to improve your quality of living. For example, the Duty Recorder is a new gameplay feature that lets you document your duties in order to view them at a later date. You can adjust the speed of your viewing and choose which chapters you want to see, as well as switch between characters’ points-of-views to improve your battle strategies or capture the perfect screenshot.
The most controversial change is that you won’t be able skip cutscenes when playing Main Scenario Roulette (Castrum Meridianum or The Praetorium). The amount of Allagan Tomestones of Poetics is now greater, but if you’ve already seen these cutscenes a million times, good luck. This change was ostensibly implemented so that new players aren’t punished for viewing cutscenes by being left behind by their party.
The auto-demolition has been resumed. All residential districts now have wards 13-18, which include a subdivision. Each ward now has an apartment building, and each subdivision has a second one. A new housing guide explains the changes and additions to housing market. For example: Housing purchases for individuals are suspended. Players may only own one Private and one Free Company estate per year, per service account.
PvP has also been given a lot of attention. There are special visual effects to help with certain PvP effects, new PvP actions and adjustments, as well as the addition of the Crystal Tower Training Grounds map.
You can now stack up to 999 items per slot, a boon for crafters and gatherers, as well as store up to 70 items in your Chocobo’s saddlebags. A new glamour prism will be available to cast glamours of any type instead of class-specific catalysts. These can be exchanged for glamour prisms at Calamity salvagers Tataroga, Mor Dhona, or Goberin, western Thanalan. Equipment and characters have been stripped of their elemental resistance properties.
Finally, glamour dresses have been added as well as glamour plates. The company workshop has also been updated with subaquatic voyages. There’s lots of new gear–both Allagan Tomestones of Mendacity gear as well as crafted gear–and new emotes, minions and hairstyles.
