The fast-food favouritefashionFashion Nova, a retailer that sells kids clothing, recently launched a line of children’s clothing. Some parents aren’t happy.
Nova Kids launched in late September, and the company describes it as “trendy fits for the stylish kid.”However, many critics have taken to social networking to claim that the clothing line is inappropriately designed for children.

“Can we talk about @fashionnova new clothing line for little girls? #saveourchildren,”Angela Stanton King, a Georgia-based U.S. House candidate, tweeted the news one day after it was launched.
“Children should be allowed to be children & have their innocence protected,”Jenny Garcia Sharon, a fellow Texas House candidate, agreed.

Others have made strong accusations on Twitter that the clothing line sexualizes children. This is especially true for young girls. Fashion Nova has not yet expanded into apparel for young men.
This collection includes outfits that parents may consider mature for girls in their teens, including tops that show off the midriff, short skirts and dresses, as well as close-fitting pieces.

Just because YOU think it’s cute doesn’t make it appropriate for kids to be wearing that,”One Twitter user posted Friday’s tweet. “Y’all love shouting #SAVEOURCHILDEN but are cool with dressing them like mini hyper sexualized adults for what? The gram? Gross.”

“Fashion Nova kids is disgusting,”Another user shared the Sunday post. “I don’t care. Y’all are reeaallllyyyy out here putting little children in grown-folks outfits and having them pose like grown women and I’m just… no.”
Fashion Nova declined comment to Fox News when it was asked about sexualization allegations. It also did not explain how it came up with outfit ideas and designs for its Nova Kids line.

However, not everyone was against the idea. The Nova Kids line has more than 92,300 followers on Instagram, and many of the commenters were excited to outfit their children in clothing that matched their own.
