FRESNO (Calif.) — On Thanksgiving, you won’t be allowed to shop at Fashion Fair Mall.
The mallThe office will be closed during the holiday.

Store owners have extended hours to accommodate busy shopping seasons while still keeping everyone safe.
Some retailers have also implemented systems that reduce the time it takes to serve customers.
“We will be doing everything we can to make sure that retailers are helping their shoppers,”Brian Malony from Fashion Fair Mall “One of the things that retailers are doing are utilizing a digital queuing system, kinda like you would get at a restaurant when you go in and check in and give your cell phone number and they reach out to you when your time is available.”
Macy’s has been forced to do more to retain customers due to the pandemic. In addition to longer returns periods and extended sales, shoppers will have other options to purchase without having to visit a store.
“Even for those folks who’ve waited until the last minute to have that best gift idea, they can either buy online, pickup in-store, use our contactless curbside pickup or use same-day delivery to have it sent to their home so that every gift arrives just in time,”Kathy Hilt is Macy’s spokesperson.
Fresno County is still in the purple Tier, which means indoor shopping malls cannot operate at 25% capacity.

The mallThe cleaning and sanitation procedures have been intensified. The food court will also remain closed.
Fashion Fair will open at 6 a.m. on Black Friday. Santa will be present, but the photo op experience is going to be different.
For those who take pandemic Santa photos, masks will be necessary.
The capacity limits within the mallParking lots will also have limited capacity.
Fashion Fair will be restricted in certain areas.
