Fashion designer Morgan, 24, opens 'Instagrammable' Burslem boutique

Morgan Allen, a driven businesswoman, has done so well with it fashionShe has now opened a larger store.

The original launch of MGRN The Beautique in Smallthorne was made by the 24-year-old.

The business has grown and needed a larger home.

Morgan officially opened MGRN The Label at Dudson Business Park in Burslem yesterday (October 2). It is located in the same building as pottery designerHeather Dudson, who runs The Potters Shed.

Jayne Allen, her proud mum, helped her busy daughter prepare for the launch.

The 57-year old said: “She sells fashion from high street shops, imported from Italy and other places abroad. She also sells jewellery, handbags and shoes.

“It’s a beautiful shop. Heather Dudson and Heather have renovated the shop. The shop looks amazing.”

Jayne stated that the store is very Instagrammable with a bathtub filled full of baubles, which is a perfect backdrop for customers snaps.

She was a finalist at ID Magazine’s fashionTwo consecutive awards and a finalist in International Foundation of Fashion Technology Institutes’ (IFFTI) award. They were to have been held in China last November but were cancelled due to the pandemic.

Morgan instead opened Smallthorne.

“Since the shop opened, it has grown that much Morgan has had to move shop, “Jayne added “It’s nice for her to be in Burslem, which is part of the regeneration. There’s nothing else like it there.

“It’s a good thing, especially when there has been so much negativity lately. She’s only 24 but is doing well.

“She’s really driven and hasn’t given up despite lockdown challenges with suppliers and travel.

“This is a positive example to other young people of her age that you can achieve success if you work hard.

“With the Potters Shed, it’s small businesses supporting each other.

“She has worked so hard, and I am proud of her. She also sells Curve products for women who are 14 or larger.
