The explosive finale of the third season has left us with many unanswered questions and waiting for Stranger Things 4 it gets more and more day by day stringent. In recent days, several news have been revealed about the return of one of the cult series that marked this period. Here’s everything you need to know (and know) about Stranger Things 4.
Stranger Things 4: here is the first trailer
“Eleven, you’re hearing me.” With these words, the first tease trailer released by Netflix closes Stranger Things 4. Dark atmospheres, a lot, disturbing details and a very deep feeling of being back to basics, with Eleven returning to the “riverbed” of the world of scientific experimentation. And there are already those who speak of the breakthrough of the Cold War into the (not too) peaceful world of Hawkins. Here is the first trailer of Stranger Things 4.
Who will be at the reins of Stranger Things 4?
In 2018 in an interview with Collider, the authors Ross and Matt Duffer confirmed that “the fourth season will definitely happenAnd that they will still be at the helm of the series. In a more recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, the brothers have communicated all their enthusiasm for the fourth season and told what direction they want to take the plot. Specifically, “We have the story in outline, we just need to add the details. We are thrilled about the plot, about what could happen. And, as we have already said, it will be very different from the third season. We can therefore be (almost) sure to review Eleven and co, and sooner than we think.
Has Stranger Things 4 release date been confirmed yet?
Netflix has not yet confirmed the official release date, but given the huge success of the science fiction series that beat everyone listening records on the platform, we can say that the streaming giant will announce a date soon, and we can’t wait. Certainly the coronavirus has greatly slowed production which could still be ready to arrive on-air between the end of 2021 and 2022.
Who will the cast of Stranger Things 4 be formed by?
The ending of the third season it was a real swing of emotions, with tragic twists of fate for many of the characters. To save El, Billy (Dacre Montgomery) sacrificed himself to the Mind Flayer, and it’s hard to think about seeing him again in Season 4. The Russian scientist, Dr. Alexei (Alec Utgoff), nicknamed “Smirnoff” by Hopper, was killed by Agent Grigory (Andrey Ivchenko) at the Hawkins July 4th Fair. And if the most tragic loss of the third season is Hopper (David Harbor), he is the character we will see again in the fourth season: As revealed in a trailer for February 2020, Hopper is in fact alive and will be the beating heart of the new season.
But apart from that, we should be able to see a large part of the cast again, Why Stranger Things it wouldn’t be the same without them. So get ready to find again Eleven (Milly Bobby Brown), Mike (Finn Wolfhard), Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo), Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin), Max (Sadie Sink), Will (Noah Schnapp), Nancy (Natalia Dyer), Jonathan (Charlie Heaton), Steve (Joe Keery), Robin ( Maya Hawke) and, of course, Joyce Byers (Winona Ryder). They will be joined by numerous other confirmed characters Jamie Campbell Bower (“Sweeney Todd”), Eduardo Franco (“Booksmart”) and Joseph Quinn (“Catherine the Great”). The tastiest addition, however, is that of a superstar of the horror genre: in Stranger Things 4 in fact we will see the return to the screen of Robert Englund, the unforgettable Freddy Krueger of Nightmare.
What should we expect from Stranger Things 4?
The thrilling final episode of Season 3 leaves the plot open in many cases: Joyce Byers has decided to leave Hawkins taking Will and Eleven with her, while the rest of Hawkins’ (former) crew stay where they are. And this sets the stage for new group dynamics in the fourth season, including friendships and long-distance relationships. The third season finale suggests that we will still see references to Russia and the Soviet laboratory in Kamchatka. Not to mention the revelation that comes to us from the title of the first episode.
