In my opinion, there’s no look more powerful and sophisticated than a pantsuit — except for a tuxedo. And the Critics’ Choice Awards red carpet saw a lot of both. Dan Levy, who won an award for Schitt’s Creek and posed before the show for photographer Ted Belton, looked dapper in a star-spangled black-and-white look from Dior by Kim Jones. Meanwhile, Amanda Seyfried‘s dazzling Miu Miu look came dripping in jewels with a bow-tie. Her stylist, Elizabeth Stewart, confirmed the inspiration came from Greta Garbo, Liza Minnelli, and Charlie Chaplin. Kaley Cuoco looked toward Dolce & Gabbana in her three-piece set with cropped, wide-leg pants (all the better to show off her Christian Louboutin heels). If that’s not enough, we also saw sparkly sequined coords from Angela Bassett and Jurnee Smollett worth writing home about. Scroll down to take in this trend that completely took over at the ceremony.
