"A unique concept designed to start a very important phase for the company
", with these words Massimo Renon, CEO of Benetton Group, commented on the first Benetton store with a low environmental impact, created thanks to the use of sustainable materials and cutting-edge technologies for energy saving. The store is spread over a single floor of 160 square meters, on which natural recycled materials stand out. The floor is made with gravel from the Piave river and waste wood from beech trees felled by the Vaia storm, the walls are treated with mineral paint with antibacterial and anti-mold properties and the ability to reduce pollutants in the environment. The interior of the shop, which winks at sustainable fashion
, are produced with new materials created by integrating waste from the textile industry: used buttons (difficult to dispose of), mixed in hydro-resin, become perimeter platforms and bases of exhibition stands; recycled wool (in its raw wick state) is reused as a design on the perimeter covering and as a decoration for the dressing room curtains; rossino, a material made with recycled mixed textile fibers, gives life to shelves, display bases and mannequins.
