Sanremo 2021: all the looks of Elodie from Versace to Oscar de la Renta and Giambattista Valli

When I first saw it Elodie in Sanremo last year – ok, I admit I discovered her there – I was immediately struck by the fact that while she was performing on stage she had no filters, she was herself, as you saw her, without any forcing. I liked it right away. And not only for the undeniable talent and the crazy voice, the body of a model or the eyes of a doe. Is that Elodie has the right attitude. His interpretation of Andromeda to the Ariston, dressed Versace, which went viral overnight, wrote a piece of the festival’s history by consecrating it forever in the planetary Olympus of super stars. In fact, thanks to the brilliant intuition of his stylist – Ramona Tabita, with whom he has been working since last year – between the singer and the Medusa brand that same night began a fortunate liaison which today appears to be consolidated by a close relationship of collaboration and mutual esteem.

And if Elodie’s musical career since then has been unstoppable, the attention from the fashion system in the last period has also grown a lot. Her well-studied image, as well as one of the fundamental elements of her success, is the result of Ramona’s exceptional work who, in recent months, hasn’t missed one. Memorable the red carpet – again in Versace – of the Venice Film Festival, the Etro dress sported at the premiere of La Scala in Milan and the numerous looks, shown on the most varied occasions, in balance between big brands and new talents – from McQueen, Jacquemus, Blumarine and Lanvin up to Andrea Adamo and Alessandro Vigilante. No wonder, then, for Elodie’s return to the 71st Sanremo Festival 202 as co-host alongside Amadeus, Ramona wanted to aim higher, telling the dream that, for many girls, Elodie’s story represents in four outfits.

The dressed in red crystal mesh chosen for the first appearance is obviously signed Versace, very adherent, with a deep slit that shows off the kilometric legs of the Roman singer, letting you glimpse the high sandals with crystals, also Versace. A little bit Jessica Rabbit, a little bit Naomi Campbell (the supermodel wore a dress similar to the Lacma Art + Film Gala 2019), in this outfit Elodie is perfect: beautiful, sexy, glamorous. He still manages to outdo himself, with a second look that we never thought we would see in Sanremo (thanks Ramona!). During the medley that mixes Elodie’s latest hits with iconic beats by Madonna and Beyoncé, the focus is on the silver mini dress Oscar de la Renta – without a doubt our favorite -, which is divinely on her, and enhances the amazing performance where she sings, dances and shines, in what is reminiscent of a sort of Halftime Show made in Italy that everyone, at this moment, is still talking about.

For the third change Elodie goes back to scarlet red, with a voluminous tulle dress with a heart Giambattista Valli haute couture, combined with custom made by sandals Jimmy Choo in satin and crystals. And again Valli couture is the fourth evening dress that Ramona chooses for Elodie, enchanting among the rouches, at ease on the very high heels of the second pair of customized Jimmy Choo jeweled sandals. In the last part of the Sanremo evening the idea of the dream that Ramona wanted to express appears much clearer. And in all respects successful, thanks to an ending where Elodie gets completely naked, first with the exciting speech in which she recalls a complex past, made up of strength and courage, then with the interpretation of Never So of Mina accompanied by the jazz pianist Mauro Tre, for her the first true teacher of which, moved, she remembers the most precious teaching: “You don’t always have to feel up to things, the important thing is to have the courage to do them”.
