The ceremony for the assignment of the Golden Globe 2021, the award that, every year, kicks off the Award Season. A ceremony, in this pandemic year, memorable in its particularity, made up of a “virtual red carpet” and a series of awards announced to the artists all connected by videoconference, each from their own home and city. A ceremony that, however, even in its “peculiarity” did not fail to surprise.

Let’s start with the news that made us most proud: Laura Pausini, nominated in the best song category, won the Golden Globe 2021 for her Io Sì. “I’m so proud, I have goosebumps. Thank you very much” said the artist visibly moved, thanking Edoardo Ponti and Sophia Loren.

As for the other awards, the absolute domination of The Crown who, in the drama category, wins all the “heavy” awards (best series, best actor, best actress and best supporting actress respectively to Josh Connor, Emma Corrin and Gillian Anderson) while, another great winner of the evening, was The Queen of Chess which, in addition to raising the statuette as the best miniseries, he gave to its protagonist Anya Taylor-Joy a Golden Globe for Best Actress.

On the cinema front, in a year decimated by the small number of releases, the basket of candidates was very small with the victory, in the end, Borat – Sequence of cinema films as best comedy and Nomadland for Best Drama Film. Enormous emotion then for the delivery of the posthumous 2021 Golden Globe in Chadwick Boseman for But Rainey’s Black Bottom.

Here are all the winners of the Golden Globe 2021.
