Fashion can be glamorous, artistic and awe-inspiring all at once or each at a time. Yet it can also be simply entertaining and fun to see. Last week, Black celebrities and style stars across the world delivered glamorously fun looks on the days leading up to Valentine’s day and when the V-Day finally arrived, what we saw was a savage overdose of red looks across the streets of Instagram.

For starters, American pop music star Chloe Bailey led the team of reds in a blinding all-red look. She donned a leather corset dress, matching tights and a caped piece, complete with flowing sleeves. She finished off the ‘killer look’ with a pair of red gloves, red leather bracelet and pieces of silver jewelry as she posed in what seemed like a performance set.

Repping the motherland, Nigerian fashion designer Lisa Folawiyo was all for contemporary goth style. She looked all ready for Valentine’s Day in a black Prada lace-paneled printed satin midi dress. She paired her dress with chic red tights, a pair of Mach & Mach pink pumps with bow detailing and a glittery pink mini bag by Prada. Her silver earrings, braids and nude glam were the icing on the cake.

Entrepreneur and TV personality Angela Simmons showed up in a sultry black two-piece which showed off all the work she’s been putting into her fitness game. She finished off her look with a pair of black strappy heels, red lipstick, and the perfect baby blue manicure.

The most stylish looks shared by black celebrities and fashion influencers were nothing short of chic, edgy, and glamorous and it’s safe to say that we are, as usual, living vicariously through them. Black celebrity style Instagram.
