Alanui presents its first fashion film for the launch of the spring summer 2021 collection, for sale on Farfetch.

“West is a state of mind”: a short film in three episodes, which we unveil in preview on Vogue.it. A journey through the west of the United States, celebrating freedom, adventure and discovery; intrinsic values ​​in the spirit of Alanui.

Through the lens of the director and photographer Andrea Calvetti, we follow three friends traveling to the West, led by a mysterious medal of St. Christopher, the patron of travelers. Along the indefinite spaces of the deserts of the States, they will meet unique places and curious characters, including Calvetti himself, in the role of a modern hitchhiker cowboy.

In this adventure, the Alanui spring summer 2021 collection becomes the ideal travel companion, releasing that desire for escape which has always been the most authentic essence of the brand.

For spring summer 2021, Alanui invites a new, liberating desire to escape, ranging with the mind between a desert of the American West, a tennis court and two new special collaborations.

Imagining a journey without borders, the garments and accessories of the new women’s and men’s collections,
they offer a succession of images that celebrate the seductive beauty of the wonders of the West. Drawings of wild horses running through the Utah desert, of fiery sunrises and sunsets in the orange light of Monument Valley in Arizona and of desert roses blooming in the arid expanses of New Mexico, we find them on the inevitable Icon cashmere cardigan and on other garments in jacquard knitwear.

The bandana motif, together with an innovative shaded tie-dye, is the protagonist on a new model of jacket with patch pockets, while the inlays of rackets and tennis players add a retro sporty-vibes touch to other garments in the collection. Women’s dresses in Vichy fabric are worn with Alanui’s new jacquard blankets wrapped around the shoulders, while in the men’s looks a new logo patch steals the show on the knitwear sets or in the inlaid panels that decorate the denim jackets.

In addition to a new collaboration with Peanuts, Alanui unveils an exclusive partnership with Sebago for spring / summer 2021 footwear. The Alanui X Sebago capsule presents a reinterpretation of the Docksides boat model and Dan moccasins, featuring fringes, beads and scallops and enriched by the special lucky charm of Alanui, the Saint Christopher medal.
