Raise awareness of the need to conserve nature, habitats and endangered species. This is the goal of the partnership born between Vogue Italia and WWF Italy last January. Announced on the occasion of the release of issue of the magazine dedicated to animals, the collaboration will last throughout 2021 and will include various initiatives.
Before telling what is on the calendar, however, it is necessary to explain what is the message that accompanies all the WWF activities scheduled this year. With the expression “For Nature For Us”The organization founded in Switzerland on April 29, 1961 and arrived in Italy in ’66 wants to underline that our well-being is closely connected to the health of nature.

Strengthened by its mission to build a future in which humanity can live in harmony with the planet, and thanks to the support of members and donors, WWF Italy has so far managed to preserve over 30 thousand hectares of woods, forests, Mediterranean scrub, coasts and beaches through the “Oasis system“. And some of these protected areas will be the protagonists of virtual trips published on the Vogue Italia Instagram account. Its followers will therefore be able to see closely the variety and beauty of the territories protected by the WWF.

Vogue Italia, then, will give space to the campaign “Renature Italy”, Which will focus on the importance of investing in the renaturation of our peninsula, that is, in interventions aimed at restoring the natural capital that we have largely lost, destroyed or degraded. We will speak, for example, of increase the oases, of safeguard the wolf or the bear, and of promote the vital role of pollinating insects.

The beginning of summer will coincide, however, with the launch of a project entitled “#GenerationSea“: It will be aimed at raising public awareness on the issues of pollution of the plastic and the defense of the Mediterranean.
2021 will end with a focus on climate change and what this means for our cities, but first there will be opportunities to support international initiatives a protection of animals at risk such as the lion, the tiger and the polar bear. Or you will have the opportunity to discover the sustainable choices that each of us can make every day, especially in the area of nutrition.

Finally, the partnership provides call to action that will involve artists and / or photographers. Even creativity can, in fact, become a very powerful tool to promote knowledge and dissemination of environmental issues.
