Last week, male celebrities around the world were inspired (we can tell) to bring their oomph game to outerwear and switch it up to the level of inspiring other individuals as well. Notice how we said “around the world?” It’s already a given that we, as a brand take pleasure in promoting black fashion, beauty and lifestyle and as growth is inevitable, we are expanding our scope across the globe to bring to you a world promoting Pan-Africanism. It’s official—we are going global!
Speaking of globally, these male celebrities from Nigeria to London, South Africa to the United States have prioritized glamor while running personal errands, attending socially-distanced events, etc. Whether that meant pulling out the most colorful pieces in their wardrobe or adding some details to their ensemble to liven it, the best dressed went above and beyond last week.
On the set of a music video, Afro pop god, Adekunle Gold looked stunning in his ensemble which looked like a re-imagination of a ‘70s era outfit. The singer and songwriter paired a geometric patterned purple sweatshirt with a pair of bubblegum colored pants with vertical impressions around it. Adekunle Gold was able to find a balance between vintage style and contemporary fashion with this look.
Down in South Africa, fashion designer Rich Mnisi showed off in fellow South African designer and 2019 LVMH winner, Thebe Magugu’s hooded poncho which he wore over a white shirt and matched with a pair of Levi jeans. With this look, Mnisi was able to bring native South African elements via the poncho into a classic look.
Last week, male celebrities around the world showed us how to elevate outerwear and we sure were inspired.
