Not only to social events, such as the famous Bal de la Rose, but also to the great occasions that affect her private sphere: the wedding of her uncle, Prince Albert of Monaco, and even her wedding with Dimitri Rassam, in 2019, for which he chose a haute couture creation. Here because the liaison born between Charlotte Casiraghi and Chanel seems the most natural thing in the world. The perfect evolution of a relationship that has always lasted.

The news was shared last December: the maison announced that Charlotte would be its ambassador for 2021. And today, finally, the shots have been revealed. Here is the beautiful Charlotte photographed in Munich by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin with the new fabulous dresses and the iconic Chanel suits from Spring Summer 2021 collection. “Staging the sets in similar locations both night and day was the starting point for this series in which Charlotte oscillates between dream and reality”, the photographers explained. “It’s real? We wonder. Charlotte conveys mystery and emphasizes our game on the fusion of reality and dream ”.

Charlotte Casiraghi had already posed for the maison. She was photographed for the book The Little Black Jacket: Chanel’s Classic Revisited by Karl Lagerfeld and Carine Roitfeld in 2012. With a degree in philosophy and a passion for literature and poetry – an art to which Karl Lagerfeld initiated her in young age – Charlotte is President of the Rencontres philosophiques de Monaco, an association she founded in 2015, whose purpose is to celebrate and promote philosophy through monthly themed events, dedicated to reflection, comparison and transmission of ideas. In this vein, the new collaboration with Chanel will also include a cultural initiative. With the creative director Virginie Viard, she will launch the project Les Rendez-vous littéraires rue Cambon (Literary appointment in rue Cambon) with themed meetings dedicated to literature that will be broadcast on Chanel’s website and social networks and which will bring together writers and actresses, to read, discuss and share their unique perspective on their own work or that of other historical or contemporary literary figures.

“I’m not just Chanel’s muse, I’m the spokesperson”, he said. An approach that highlights the new path taken by Chanel, a maison for women ‘made’ by women.
