Amanda Gorman, who was the real star at the inauguration of American President Joe Biden, has officially become a brand. As the “Los Angeles Times” confirmed on Tuesday, Amanda signed a contract with the model and talent agency, IMG Models, a few days after her performance in front of the Capitol.
The agency, which represents supermodels like Gisele Bündchen, Gigi Hadid, Halima Aden, and Alek Wek, among others, is set to support the 22-year-old in signing contracts as an author and as an advertising face for fashion and cosmetics. The poet and Harvard graduate is said to already employ a literary agency and a law firm to represent her interests.

This isn’t Amanda Gorman’s first appearance in these spaces before—she had previously appeared in a campaign for Loft and attended Prada events—but this contract will grant her access to representatives at companies such as Writers House, WME, and the law firm Gang, Tyre, Ramer, Brown, and Passman, according to a press release. Through this deal, “The Hill We Climb” author is set to secure brand endorsements and editorial opportunities, IMG said.

At the inauguration, youth poet laureate not only impressed Americans with her poem, but also fashion insiders with her bold choice of outfit. She donned an all-round Prada look by pairing a striking yellow double-breasted coat with a red satin headband. Completing her look was a pair of gold hoop earrings by Nikos Koulis and an Of Rare Origin ring in the shape of a caged bird, both gifted to her by Oprah Winfrey.
