Inès de la Fressange presents the new capsule for Uniqlo
Needs no introduction: Inès de la Fressange “Is” fashion. At least if by “fashion” we mean a concentration of style and elegance capable of intercepting trends by stripping them of their most volatile part and making them classics.
This philosophy applied to Madame de la Fressange dresses has been pouring it into the world for some seasons now special collections that he signs per Uniqlo, in which he works on the foundations of a wardrobe that does not fear the passage of time.
Spring summer 2021 is no exception: once again we can count on Inès’ sense for casual chic look, in which practicality and style blend harmoniously – yes, it is the immortal lesson of mademoiselle Coco Chanel – and give life to new interpretations of basic pieces.
Here then in detail 5 outfits by Inès de la Fressange x Uniqlo, 5 “uniforms” of solid elegance with that indefinable French “touch”
1There marinière: white and blue, white and red stripes or mixed together. This is the latest interpretation of Inès, to be worn with navy blue dlim trousers and a pair of lace-ups
2The total black: the ensemble with a three-quarter sleeve shirt, pleated longuette skirt, belt with round buckle and flat sandals is very simple and effective
3There White shirt: mandarin collar for the longer model on the back, to be combined with trousers or to be worn as a mini dress.
4The men’s suit: easy chic the dress stolen from the male wardrobe jacket + trousers with crease
5There denim jacket: revisited, feminine, deconstructed with constrast seams and rounded pockets
The inspiration for the new collection is Deauville, a place in the north-west of France particularly loved by Parisians where Coco Chanel opened her first boutique in 1913. Deauville is also a place of memories for Inès de la Fressange who went there on vacation as a child. Inspired by the elegance of the ladies who frequented it, she added it to the collection linen, cotton and pointelle knitwear, navy, white and beige shades for an effortles allure.
Born and raised in France, Inès was one of the most famous models in the world in the 1980s, making her debut at just 17. Also famous for being the muse of many designers, including Karl Lagerfeld, she relaunched her brand, Inès de la Fressange Paris in 2013, and continues to embody the chic Parisian modern style as art director. The SS21 collection is the fifteenth season of the UNIQLO / INES DE LA FRESSANGE collaboration.
The collection is on sale from February 18th.
